Roof Repair Smedway built its Roof Leak Repair division around one idea: homeowners in Jordan deserve a straight answer, a fair price, and a truck in the driveway fast.
Every technician on a Roof Repair Smedway crew earned their spot through years on real roofs in Jordan, NY, not a two-week onboarding video — that's the difference customers notice the moment we pull up.
We carry full liability coverage and workers' compensation, and every lead installer holds current state licensing, so a claim adjuster, a home inspector, or your own insurance carrier can verify our credentials without a single awkward phone call.
A patched flashing that leaks again in eighteen months costs a homeowner more than the first repair ever saved. That's why our Roof Leak Repair crews follow manufacturer specs on every nail pattern and every underlayment overlap, not just the visible parts.
Every lead technician carries current state credentials before stepping on a ladder.
A tarp-down call at 2 a.m. gets the same urgency as one at 2 p.m.
Every estimate is itemized in writing so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Faster arrival times because the truck was already nearby.
Most roof failures don't happen overnight — they build quietly for months before a homeowner notices the ceiling stain that finally forces the issue.
Asphalt shingles shed protective granules as they age, and a gutter full of grit usually means the surface layer is wearing thin.
Cupped shingles trap moisture underneath instead of shedding it, accelerating rot in the decking below.
Small gaps that let light in will let water in during the next heavy rain.
A yellow-brown ring spreading across a ceiling almost always traces back to a roof leak, even if the leak point is several feet away from the stain.
If upstairs rooms feel noticeably warmer than the rest of the house, a failing roof system is a common hidden cause.
Even one missing shingle can let enough water through to rot the decking underneath within a single storm season.
We break our work into distinct service lanes because a wind-lifted ridge cap and a full tear-off need completely different crews, materials, and timelines.
When high wind or hail peels back a section of roofing, our on-call crew tarps the exposed area to stop active water intrusion before it reaches the decking, then schedules the permanent repair.
From a handful of cracked shingles to a full asphalt or metal system replacement, our residential crews scope the job against manufacturer specs, not guesswork.
Flat and low-slope commercial roofs get scheduled inspections in addition to repair calls, catching ponding-water issues before they become structural.
Replacement jobs include a detailed material walkthrough so you're choosing a system that fits your climate exposure and budget, not just whatever's on the truck.
A thorough inspection checks flashing, fasteners, ventilation, and granule loss — the small issues that turn into major leaks if left alone.
Chimney crickets, skylight seals, and valley flashing are common leak points that general handyman work often gets wrong — our crews treat them as their own scope.
A dispatcher takes down your address, roof type, and the issue, then routes it to the nearest available crew in Jordan, NY.
A technician walks the roof, checks the attic side when accessible, and documents the damage with photos.
You receive an itemized, written estimate before any work begins, covering materials, labor, and disposal.
Once approved, the crew schedules the work and completes it to manufacturer spec, cleaning the property before leaving.
Because our teams are already local, we're rarely the company still driving in from three counties away.
We'd rather lose a job over an honest price than win one with a lowball number that grows later.
Crews carry moisture meters, infrared scanners for larger jobs, and proper fall-protection gear on every site.
We'd rather send a crew back for a five-minute fix than leave a customer unsure whether the job was done correctly.
We've worked with enough adjusters across Jordan, NY to know what documentation actually gets a claim approved faster.
Our technicians explain the reasoning behind every recommendation so you're deciding with full information, not a sales script.
Every Roof Leak Repair project closes with a written warranty covering our labor, separate from whatever coverage the shingle or membrane manufacturer already provides.
If a crew leader finds something during teardown that changes the scope, you'll hear about it before it changes your bill, not after.
We keep multiple crews staged across Jordan, NY so that a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of Jordan waiting.
Dispatch routes are planned around Jordan's actual neighborhoods and access roads, not a generic radius drawn on a map, which is part of why our arrival estimates tend to hold up.
